Sword and Song

What is it?

Sword and Song is a micro RPG meant to fit onto two front-and-back business cards. It’s an RPG with mechanics based on the sci-fi RPG Lasers and Feelings by John Harper, but slightly modified and with fantasy themes.

It has a simple, open-ended world to encourage GMs and players decide the scale, stakes, and unique mechanics of their own stories 

Who is it for?

The game has very simple mechanics, so I think it's ideal for casual or beginner TTRPG players who want a fun, freeform experience. Because of the loose story and the lack of some more detailed mechanics (namely combat specifics and using magic), a bit of extra creativity may be required from a SaS GM to flesh out their game.

What do I need?

The only required equipment to play is a handful of standard d6 dice for rolling, and possibly the downloadable pdf if you don't know the rules. I also always recommend some scratch paper when playing any RPG.

Is that all?

I hope to expand this game some day! I think the idea of business-card-sized campaigns or gameplay expansions for a business-card-sized RPG sounds pretty funny, so I will probably do that at some point down the line.
